Interactive Whiteboard
Definition
Interactive whiteboards (e.g., SMART Board, Promethian ActivBoard, etc.) connect to a computer and use a projector to project a computer screen onto the board. Students and teachers use a pen or finger to interact with the computer and write on the board.
Features
Interactive whiteboards enable users to save notes, record lessons, navigate Web sites, draw illlustrations, and many other activities which engage studentsŐ attention and interaction. Many IWB systems include a large collection of pre-designed activities, educational games, and unique interactive tools.
